TOP 10 ATAGO SKINS

 

That’s right – it’s a shallow dip top ten or top ten on the spot for the game designs or ‘skins’ of Atago, my top girl of Azur Lane and third top girl of video games in general. All art is fair use for the purpose of depicting the skins as they appear from the official game designs featured in the fan wiki.

Also yes – I had to cheat a little to get her to ten skins, since she only has seven official skins. For shame, Azur Lane – your top girl should have the most skins. So I’ve padded out the official skins with some from art or cosplay.

 

S-TIER (GODDESS TIER)

 

 

(1) STUNNING SPEEDSTER (RACE QUEEN)

 

Top spot has to go to her Race Queen skin – it’s what got her top spot in Azur Lane and third top spot in my girls of video games. What can I say? I can’t say no to a good ‘grid girl’ or Race Queen design, and Atago’s is the best I’ve seen.

Most of my favorite art and cosplay for Atago which I feature in its own top ten elsewhere is of this design – including the art by Sciamano that was my introduction to Sciamanot as well as close to my heart as one of my favorites, both for Atago and Sciamano. Atago’s Race Queen is also one of my top ten cosplays by model Hane Ame – and there’s also cosplay of it by Yummychiyo.

 

 

(2) DEFAULT

 

It’s a close call but second top spot has to go to her default or standard ‘naval’ uniform. What can I say? I love a girl in uniform and Atago’s standard skin is a good spin on classic navy dress white uniform, made racier of course for a video game girl.

Again, the art by Sciamano has a variant of this version – and Hane Ame also rocks her cosplay of Atago’s dress uniform design.

 

A-TIER (TOP TIER)

 

 

(3) SCHOOL TRAUMEREI

 

Another close call but I have to go with another uniform for third place – her school uniform design.

Again – Hane Ame has cosplay of this skin, as she does for (almost) all of Atago’s skins.

 

 

(4) SUMMER MARCH

 

Yes – it’s her swimsuit version. It was a close call for this in second or third place, but it felt a little redundant as her Race Queen skin is essentially a bikini.

And yes – there’s Hane Ame cosplay and also Yummychiyo cosplay.

 

 

(5) FULL MOON’S FERAL WOLF / HALLOWEEN

 

This counts as a swimsuit skin, right? Her pants were so scanty that I went with the censored version in which she modestly hides behind her costume’s tail. This skin released for Halloween 2024 has rocketed up my Top 10 Atago skins despite limited cosplay – and none from Hane Ame – because, well, rowr!

 

B-TIER (HIGH TIER)

 

 

(6) WEDDING

 

I do! Also a close call for a higher place – it’s hard to resist a classic white wedding dress with a racy spin.

Sadly – no Hane Ame cosplay.

What can I say? I can’t resist a good bunny girl design. I’d rank it higher but it’s not an official skin and I’ve only seen it in cosplay (by Hane Ame of course but also Anxi).

Basically Atago in a white towel – I’ve seen it in art and cosplay.

 

(10) PSEUDO-QIPAO

 

Well perhaps not quite a qipao but resembling one – as in cosplay by Hane Ame
